Exhibition – Ema and Michel Tytgat – Faces and Landscapes of Latin America – Photographic works
Father and daughter are exhibiting together photos inspired by their recent visits and contrasting experiences in Latin America.
On returning from Tumaco, a town on the Pacific coast of Colombia, Ema, a student of development sociology brought back portraits of "Mother Courage" figures and their day-to-day environment. Fruit of a job shadowing at the Casa de Memoria (House of Memory) in Tumaco, her images bear witness to the armed conflict that has been a gangrene for Colombia for decades.
Michel Tytgat, is a doctor at the ULB. For many years, he has been an amateur photographer focusing on the portrait and the landscape. The exhibited photos invite us to share his views of a side of Chile.
