The Erasmus House

This house, where Erasmus, a humanist from Rotterdam, stayed in 1521, is one of the oldest in Brussels (1450-1515). The museum houses a unique collection of Renaissance furniture (Bosch, Metsys, Van der Weyden), engravings (Holbein, Dürer) and a library replete with thousands of old editions. The Medicinal plants garden and the Philosophical garden combine pleasure and knowledge.
